Returns and Refunds

 

Customer Satisfaction:

Customer satisfaction is of the highest concern to Elegant Wood Works and we strive to make every customer a happy customer. We stand behind our work and will make every effort to satisfy a customer’s concerns.

 

Prepayment for All Orders:

Payment in full is required before delivery of all Elegant Wood Works products. Products which are back-ordered or custom ordered are payable, in full, at the time of order. Please see Order Cancellation policy, below, for more information.

 

Shipping and Handling:

Ring boxes to be delivered to the continental United States carry a shipping and handling fee that will be calculated during checkout for boxes which are not picked up at the shop. Items will be shipped via UPS or other ‘trackable’ service. Items for delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, or any foreign country will carry a shipping and handling fee to be determined.

 

Other pieces such as bowls, etc., will carry a shipping and handling fee to be determined, based on the size, weight and required packaging for the piece. Customers are welcome to provide us with their own UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc., account number and we will bill to that account.

 

Please do not accept shipments which are clearly damaged when delivered. We will have to make a claim against the shipper and this is easier to do if delivery is refused.

 

Return Policy:

Ring Boxes – Non Engraved:

Ring boxes may be returned for any reason to Elegant Wood Works within seven (7) days of delivery. If the ring box is returned to Elegant Wood Works in as-new condition we will issue a full refund of the purchase price (not including any shipping and handling charges).

 

Cash and credit card payments will be returned by company check to the buyer. Refunds for payments made by check may be delayed until the original check clears your banking institution.

 

Ring Boxes – Custom Engraved:

Custom engraved pieces cannot be re-sold to other customers, but in order to maintain our excellent customer service Elegant Wood Works will issue a store-credit equal to 50% of the purchase price of the customized ring box (not including any shipping and handling). The store-credit may be used on any Elegant Wood Works Product and the credit does not expire.

 

Other Woodwork:

Other woodwork items such as bowls, paperweights, etc., are fully returnable in as-new condition for thirty (30) days after purchase. We will issue a full refund of the purchase price (not including any shipping and handling charges).

Cancellation Policy – Ring Boxes

For Elegant Wood Works ring boxes which are backordered and will be shipped to the customer at a future date, Elegant Wood Works will refund the sales price paid only if the order is cancelled before the engraving has been started. If the engraving has been started, please refer to the terms of Return Policy: Ring Boxes – Custom Engraved, above.

 

Cancellation Policy – Other Pieces

Elegant Wood Works reserves the right to retain a portion of any prepayment for products that are not ring boxes, in proportion to the amount of work put into the manufacture of the product. The highly custom nature of our products precludes a standard cancellation policy on non-ring box products. Elegant Wood Works will work with the customer to arrive at a reasonable compromise.
