I thought that I would send a few photos of my wife Deb's new wedding band. I gave her the ring and box on April 10th at Big Sur. It was to mark our 30th year together. She was absolutely stunned by both the box and the ring. Nobody that I know has ever seen a ring box as beautiful as the one you sent me. Dear Zvi,

My girlfriend and I got engaged in November of 2007. I took her to Chez Panisse in Berkeley. It's a really fancy restaurant that I had to call a month in advance to make reservations. I bought the ring two weeks before our date. For something so expensive, it sure comes in one ugly looking box. It was a Scott Kay platinum setting with a 1 carat diamond. I never even heard of Scott Kay until then but he must be making a ton of money selling something so small for $2K and that does NOT include the diamond which was an additional $5K. For spending that much money you'd think they'd give you something nicer than a cardboard box with felt on it that probably cost them $1 and was made by slave child labor in some third world country. In searching for an alternative, I came across Elegant Woodwork's ringboxes on the internet and decided to purchase one. I picked one made from a Amboyna burl and had it engraved with our names and the date of when I proposed. The box was made to order  so it's unique and I know there isn't another box out there that looks exactly the same. The date went very well. I'm sure she had an inkling that I was going to do it but she was surprised none the less. She simply adored the ring and the box. Several people on the tables next to us congratulated us and actually asked me about the box and where I got it. You might think, why buy a box that you'll throw away after you propose anyway? Well my fiancee uses it to store the ring when she's working with her horses, baking, swimming, or doing anything else that would put it at risk. It's easy to find, it's something you'll never throw away on a whim, and it's a pleasant reminder of when I proposed to her. Compared to the total cost for the ring itself, the ringbox was worth every penny.

Just an update… 

Today marks the 1^st month of our engagement. I proposed while on vacation in Sedona AZ. Jen, my fiancée, absolutely loved the presentation box you made for me. While she wears the ring everyday, the box is proudly on display in our living room. Thanks again for all your help and excellent workmanship!

I am preparing for one of the most important days of my life - the day I ask my girlfriend to be a life partner.  I have been planning for almost 6 months now - hand-selecting a loose diamond, having a custom setting made, and more.
To complete the final touches of my proposal date, I have been searching for the right box to present my ring.  I have not found anything that would have fit better than your custom wood works.
